Snow Leopard and Strata Design 3D CX 6 Compatibility

In our testing so far, Strata Design 3D CX 6.x is working well on Snow Leopard (10.6).

One issue has been discovered in Design 3D CX 6.0 - an occasional crash when clicking on the Convert button.

�

The Convert button issue has been resolved in Design 3D CX 6.1.�

Also, the Strata 3D Vector plug-in for Strata Design 3D CX 6.x will not work on Snow Leopard unless you install the optional support for PowerPC backward compatibility (Rosetta).

Users attempting to install and run CX 4.0 or 4.1 on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

Just before Apple released Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), we discovered some compatibility issues which prevented Strata 3D CX 4.0 and 4.1 from running on Tiger (10.4.x). A downloadable updater for CX 4.0 and 4.1 users is available at: http://www.strata.com/support_updates.asp

Tiger also affected the application that we use to install CX 4.0 and 4.1. We have provided notes to help with installing these versions onto Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger) and then running the Strata 3D CX 4.2 updater, which fixes the compatibility issue the Tiger.

Strata 3D: RenderPro Update Released for CX 5 Owners

If you own Strata 3D: RenderPro and you recently upgraded to Strata 3D CX 5, this update will let you use RenderPro with Strata 3D again.

Simply download the update for your platform, uncompress it, place the original Strata 3D: RenderPro CD in your drive, and run the installer.

Strata 3D: Vector update released for Strata 3D CX 5 owners

If you own Strata 3D: Vector, and you recently upgraded to Strata 3D CX 5, this update will let you use Vector with Strata 3D again.

Simply download the update for your platform, uncompress it, place the original Vector 3D CD in your drive, and run the installer.
